Who doesn’t love fall, am I right? From pumpkin-spiced everything to the chilly but not freezing weather, everything about autumn makes me smile.
Fall is the perfect time to go all out with your makeup because there is no humidity to break down your hard work
If you happen to be someone who lives in a land of no humidity, well that just isn’t fair to the rest of us.
Today I want to talk about fall makeup looks and how to have fun with your makeup during this wonderful season.
I absolutely love this time of year. Basically, I would love to live my entire life from September to December. Just give me all the holidays please.
If you are like me and love embracing the holiday seasons, these makeup tips may help you really bring out the spirit.
Today I’m featuring some of the most beautiful fall makeup looks I’ve seen so far this season. So if you’re as excited about fall as I am, let’s take a look.
Fall Look #1: Soft Elegance
This first fall makeup look is easy to achieve and perfect for any day of the week. Here is a classic approach to a smokey eye that is both colorful and soft.
Brooke Noel takes the cake for simple fall elegance using warm-toned shadows with pops of champagne shimmers.
Cranberry tones are a must for green eyes and oh so perfect for fall makeup.
Always use a transition shade when working with deeper shades such as reds or darker pinks to keep the colors flowing without harsh lines. Your final shadow result should appear airbrushed as seen in Brooke’s close-up.
Brooke uses a champagne shimmer to highlight the brow bone and inner corner tying the inner corner highlight with the lid shade to create a gorgeous flow of color.
You can really tie the whole face together by using the same highlighter on the cheekbone, inner corner, and brow bone.
Line the top lid with a thin line of black liner and finish the look off with a volumizing mascara such as Too Faced Better Than Sex or a set of whispy falsies. A black liner can also be used in the water line to really make the eyes pop.
If you’ve been feeling the fall vibes, but are looking for a look you can rock any day or night, this is the look for you.
Fall Look #2: Glowing Goddess
Don’t let the autumn weather suck the life out of your skin. Or even if it already has, let’s highlight the life right back into it!
Highlighter is your best friend as the weather changes and will give your skin a healthy, radiant glow.
Esther, known as MsTopacJay on her YouTube channel, looks absolutely stunning with her radiant skin and ruby red lips.
Esther uses highlighter above her cupid’s bow to plump and define the shape of her lips.
Speaking of lips, don’t be afraid to try a bold lip color this fall. Forget the sheer glosses and reach for your red or brown lippies. Fall makeup is all about making a statement so let your lips do the talking.
Esther uses a variety of shadows, deepening the color as the eye draws outward. Dark grays and blacks are perfect in the outer edges of the eye for bold dimension.
Black liner in the water line defines the eye and can be brought towards the inner corner for a cat-eye affect.
Esther chose a subtle wing to enhance the eyeshadow but keep the attention towards the center of her face.
Don’t forget to smoke out your lower lash line by sweeping the darker shadow underneath to blend the look together.
This look is absolutely incredible and is sure to give everyone makeup envy.
Fall Look #3 Candy Craze
This last look is giving all the candy corn vibes through a stretch of imagination and creativity.
Yvette slays her cut-crease with a perfect blend of warm tones and glitter.
Orange shadows are a staple for fall makeup and are the perfect shade for any skin tone. Blending is key when working with color so start with a light transition shade and slowly build the color up until your desired shade is achieved.
Don’t rush this process girls. Yvette’s look displays seamless transitions between each shade for what I like to call, blending perfection.
A look like this is calling out for a dramatic liner and Yvette shows up for this one. A sharp black wing accented with a shadow of bright yellow is both artistic and unique and really takes this fall eye look up a notch.
Her use of a deeper red shadow gives the “cut-out” appearance without any harsh lines and the glitter accent adds a hint of glamour.
We all know that I’m always down for adding glitter to any look.
When rocking a colorful eye look such as this one, choose a lip that compliments without overshadowing. After all, it took a while to achieve this level of perfection, let the eyes be the focal point.
